TRIP IDEAS

RVs To Go - Grand Island is your gateway to Western and Central New York, as well as Ontario, Canada. Come discover the fun, excitement, and beauty of the area while you find your own RV adventure.

RVs To Go - Grand Island is about ten miles north of Buffalo. Grand Island lies in the upper Niagara River, which connects Lake Erie and Lake Ontario, two of America's Great Lakes. Both lakes are great for fishing, boating and swimming. Plus, several State Parks along their shores offer camping, hiking, biking, cross country skiing, snowmobiling and other outdoor recreation opportunities. Relax on Lake Erie at Evangola or Lake Erie State Park, or explore Lake Ontario via Four Mile Creek, Golden Hill, Lakeside Beach, Hamlin Beach or Fair Haven Beach State Park.

Travel just a bit inland from Lake Erie and enjoy a day on beautiful Lake Chautauqua. There you'll find awesome fishing and boating, with a marina to serve your boating needs. On a point jutting out into the lake, you can enjoy beach swimming, hiking, biking, cross country skiing or snowmobiling at Long Point State Park on Lake Chautauqua.

Just a couple of hours drive east from RVs To Go - Grand Island, lying south and east of Rochester, are the eleven lakes that make up New York's famous Finger Lakes. For quieter and more peaceful places to fish, paddle or boat check out the smaller lakes of Conesus, Hemlock, Canadice, Honeoye, Owasco and Otisco. If you want a little bigger water, head to the larger lakes of Canandaigua, Keuka, Seneca, Cayuga and Skaneateles. You'll also find plenty of places on the lakes to enjoy camping, hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and more. In fact, eleven State Parks border the lakes, and six of the parks are home to gorges with waterfalls that are smaller than Niagara Falls, but still marvelous.

With 65,000 acres to it's name Allegany State Park is New York's largest State Park. Two developed areas, Quaker and Redhouse, offer many miles of trails for hiking, biking, horseback riding, cross-country skiing or snowmobiling. You'll also find sandy swimming beaches, plus boating and other outdoor recreation opportunities at both parks.

Another noteworthy place to explore is Letchworth State Park, which is often called the "Grand Canyon of the East". The Genesee River roars down a gorge that meanders through the park, and it flows over three spectacular waterfalls. You'll also find a multitude of trails for hiking, biking, horseback riding, snowmobiling and cross-country skiing. Plus, you can even go kayaking, whitewater rafting or hot air ballooning! Don't worry - the park has a large campground so you can stay a while and and really take advantage of all the park has to offer.

Of course, RVs To Go - Grand Island is conveniently located just a few miles upstream of the mighty Niagara Falls. Surrounding the majestic Niagara Falls is Niagara Reservation State Park, the United States' oldest state park. It includes numerous islands (including Goat Island) and the Prospect Point area. The park offers incredible views of the American Falls and the Canadian "Horseshoe" Falls, as well as hiking, biking and fishing opportunities. You can also see (and feel) the falls up close with a boat ride on the Maid of the Mist or a hike down to the Cave of the Winds.

Looking for a little adult gaming action? On the US side, check out the new Seneca Niagara Casino in nearby Niagara Falls, New York - it's open all day, every day! Or take a short trip over the border to Casino Niagara in Niagara Falls, Ontario - it's also always open for gambling fun and excitement! While you're in Canada check out all that the Toronto, Ontario area has to offer. It's only ninety-five miles away.
